For those who don't know her, she is the actress who played the sweet and undecided Joey on the TV show "Dawson's Creek". In a world tour to promote her new movie, Batman Begins, she ended up calling attention to other subject: her engagement with the also actor Tom Cruise.
Rumors says that the romance started on April 2005, but no one knows the exactly date. Since they begin to be seen together, the tabloids have been trying to find a reason for the engagement. For many, it's just a way to promote the couple newest movies: the already cited Batman Begins and War of The Worlds, Cruise's new movie.

When he became a big star, in the middle 80's, lots of girls and teenagers took him as their idol and object of desire - like Katie Holmes, who is 16 years younger than her fiancé.

In interviews in many countries, she claims that the engagement is her child dream. She says that since she was a little girl she dreams about marrying Tom Cruise. On the other side, the happy fiancé declares his love for his partner in every public opportunity that shows up, and that irritates lots of movie fans. They think that the engagement is just a scene, a subtle way of promotion. The climax romance between them took place in Paris, where Cruise asked Katie to marry him in the famous Eiffel Tower. However, few believe that this marriage will last longer than Cruise's last one - he was married for ten years with the also actress Nicole Kidman.

Promotion or love, the truth is that the couple is always happy when they show up. Just like any romance movie, Katie is living her dream, and it has a famous actor and a romantic climax.
